The Rules of Golf are set for an update on January 1.
Not a sweeping overhaul like when the Rules were “modernized” in 2019 . . . more of a gentle “tweaking” designed to offer greater clarity.
Such updates are a natural part of the evolution of the Rules. Real golf-world events reveal scenarios and circumstances that had not been contemplated. Updates, like those that occurred on January 1st, fill in any exposed gaps.
If you have ever had a burning desire to learn more about the Rules of Golf, you are in luck! The NCGA offers two levels of “live” formal education.
NCGA Rules Seminars are two full days of cover-to-cover review of the Rules (with an optional quiz on Day 3) taught by NCGA staff and top tournament volunteers.
Four of five NCGA Rules Seminars remain open for registration.
